Inside the pipe it delivers a full 360 ° non-destructive test (NDT) in a single pass, pinpointing slag inclusions, lack of fusion, porosity and corrosion — so your pipeline stays leak-free.

Video positioning X-ray pipeline crawlers are generally composed of the following components:

  • Crawler system: Including programmable controller, motor driver, motor, wheeled mobile system, etc., to control the crawler to move forward and backward in various pipelines according to instructions.

  • X-ray source: Including high-voltage package, and X-ray tube, to generate X-rays, pass through the pipeline, and check the internal quality of the pipeline.

  • Camera part: the position of the weld is determined by the camera;

  • Video control system: Control the forward, backward, and exposure of the crawler.

  • Battery: Provides necessary energy for the crawler, X-ray source, and magnetic receiver.

Depending on the purpose, this type of crawler can be used for pipe diameters of 159 mm-273 mm, 219 mm-500 mm, 375 mm-800 mm, and 500 mm-1400 mm.

The crawler adopts a DC motor drive system with large driving torque and soft start speed regulation to extend the motor life and ensure positioning accuracy; stable high-voltage output to ensure consistent film blackness; and has protection functions such as automatic retraction when encountering water, obstacles, Undervoltage, overcurrent, undercurrent, and overtemperature, ensuring long-term stable and normal operation of the equipment and improving detection efficiency.
